Eng. Rege was the Permanent Secretary for the Ministry of Information and Communications in 2004/2005. He was also the Chairperson of the Parliament Departmental Committee on Energy, Transport, Information, Communication and Public Works from 2007 to 2013. He was a Senior Engineer with International Telecommunications Satellite Organization (INTELSAT), Vice President Engineering at Regional African Satellite Communications Organization (RASCOM), Director Iridium Africa, Managing Director, Vodacom GSM Communications Pioneer. He has also worked in numerous top positions internationally in the telecommunications field. He holds a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering Telecommunications from the George Washington University and a Bachelor of Science Electrical Engineering and Computer Science degree from the West Virginia University, USA.
